So we started booking this UK tour. And then we thought, WOAH!!!! wait a minute. Europe is like way expensive. So here we are sitting in our kitchen trying to think, how is we gonna pay for this??? Well one wacky idea we had, was robbing a bank…. and then we thought, no what if someone gets hurt or goes to jail?

Then we thought?… Lets start a pyramid marketing scheme and get innocent elderly people to unwillingly give us their money via shiesty contracts that no one can understand…Then we thought, man, we don’t have the time for that we have to go to Europe in a month….

Then we thought… Let’s screen print some FTA posters in our kitchen and ask our friends to donate money for them… So here we are sitting in the kitchen printing on cloth hoping that our friends across the country/ world might be so kind as to throw some cash in our direction. Its a crazy idea, but it just might work!

NO TWO POSTERS ARE THE SAME

We are accepting donations to help us foot the $5,000 or so bill we have for getting over to the UK to play these shows. If you can or can not donate it is obviously no big deal, but if you do donate $10 or more, we will mail you one of the cloth posters above. & If you donate a lot, you may just get a postcard from England.

We will also throw in one of these great zines that our friend Issac made. It’s 6 half pages of hearfelt awesomeness. Includes an interview with THE QUEERS:

This past tour was amazing on so many levels. It was great to be on the road with all of our friends, see familiar faces, & meet new people. We did 18 shows in 20 days and had a tremendous amount of fun in the process. If this past tour taught me anything it is that if you want to create of achieve anything worthwhile in this world, more than likely you’re going to have to fight and work your ass off to get past even just a few of the obstacles in your way. I’ve known this all along, but this tour made it more clear than ever. This label, these bands, our ideas, and our method of doing things is challenging in and of its self and if we are going to establish something that has true meaning and a true foundation we must work without rest and appreciate each and every blessing that comes our way.

The people and bands that have committed themselves to this label, in my mind, are all incredible people that each has unique talents to offer. I feel that our future looks promising and that our efforts and ideas will have longevity, but only if we can continue to keep pushing and keep fighting. That fight is all the easier with people such as yourself. I say that with 100% of my heart. I’ve meet some people on this past tour that have re-invigorated my passion and motivation for this label. There are times when it feels like it is difficult to keep pushing, but with people like you on our side, we will never give up.

In another note, our good pal Kinsey sent us a letter. It really made our day and I hope she doesn’t mind that we are posting it on our blog. This is just one example of how much love we get on a daily basis from every one involved with the label. Building a Community is the reason why we do this and getting feedback and positivity sent our way just makes our connection even stronger. Thanks for everything you do.

Goshen, NY, Rochester, NY, Some AWESOME days off, & some Michigan:

FTA & STUCK LUCKY just got back to their respective homes last night. A BILLION ERNIES is still on the road they have some more SHOWS to go before they get back to the west coast. I’m kinda out of it and tired right now. We got in a bit late yesterday and I had work at the hey! cafe this morning. It is bitter sweet to be home.

There will be more videos & posts to come probably tomorrow. This years tour was a freaking blast and an all around success. Thanks for everything you all do for us, it keeps us going strong. Sleep well my friends. I’ll be dreaming of the day when we (you, me, all of us here at com rec) collectively take over the world with our positive vibes.

We’re in Troy, Michigan right now. Doing the internets before we head over to Grand Rapids, MI for tonight.
